Family and Four Generations

Pennie, Eric, Luke, and Lincoln came to Salt Lake for the Thanksgiving break. We decided to take them up to Timber Lakes and show them the mountains. They love the beautiful mountains that we see each day by just looking out our window. I have to keep reminding myself not to take the mountains and their majesty for granted.

I love this picture of my Dad sleeping in the chair and David standing on his chest. Now I don’t know how he slept through that but he did.

We feel very blessed to be together as a family. Family is very important to us. Family ties go beyond time and are a fundamental unit that strengthens our society. I really like this statement that Elder L. Tom Perry made about the family on May 2003.

“In a world of turmoil and uncertainty, it is more important than ever to make our families the center of our lives and the top of our priorities. Families lie at the center of our Heavenly Father’s plan. This statement from “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” declares the responsibilities of parents to their families……”
