Maya Rose and Jade Kelly, What An Awesome Pair!

{Disclaimer:  All of these pictures really were taken in 2013.

I just need to make a new signature brush and redo all of these pictures, but I am so excited to share these pictures that I wanted to post them today.}

Here is a picture of our newest grand baby, number 5!

She was born on January 13th while I was still in New York City.

I was so excited to get home and see this beautiful baby that so recently left heaven.

She truly is angelic.  She weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

I truly love her.  I can sit for hours and just look at how perfect she is.

Don’t you love her tiny feet?

Oh what a big yawn for such a little girl!

I love how she furls her forehead, such deep thoughts for such a little one.

The pink, swirly, blanket is a Saranoni which is pretty much the softest blanket you will ever touch.

I gave Milt one of these blankets for Christmas a couple of years ago and it is so soft and silky that it is often on the floor in the morning because  it is so slick.

I must confess that I had to go and buy myself the same blanket because it is so cozy.

Look how Maya is snuggled into the pile of the luscious swirls of that blanket.

Maya is so tiny that this darling “foofey,”( yes that is a Pam word!) hat had to be doubled under a few times but it still dwarfs her little head.

You can probably guess who gave her that hat. LOL!

I love this picture, you will notice Jade’s tiny hands in the background.  Jade is very petite for her age of 4 1/2 but even her hands dwarf this precious new baby’s hands.

She is about the cutest baby I ever did see.

Jade is holding hands with her new baby sister, Maya.

For weeks Jade has been anxiously waiting for her new sister to be born.

Jade would say to Marisa, “You have a baby in your belly and I have a baby cat in mine and she is wearing a dress!”

Oh do you just love the innocence of a young child? That would be a big, YES!DSC_8904web-maya-crying

Maya even looks cute when she cries.

She wanted us to know that she was done with picture time!

Jade hovers over her new baby sister.  She is a natural “little mama.”

Oh, how sweet!

Grandpa is holding Jade over baby Maya so she can lean in to give her a kiss.

Aren’t they the perfect pair?

That face is adorable!

Jade loves to sit on our windowsill and look outside.

The temperature has been in the the teens here and the snow just will not melt with that kind of cold.

You can see the snow on the bushes in the background.

She is a snow-gazer!

Hey, she really does have a “kitty on her belly!” LOL!

I love her laugh, you can’t help but smile when you see this picture.

Jade is a real tease.  She learned that from her Dad.  They are continually trying to outdo each other.

Jade thought she would play with Maya’s new tutu.

I had to convince her that it wouldn’t fit her.

She decided to put her arms into the tutu and I had fun capturing her moves on film.

Jade is so silly!

I absolutely love the joy that you can see on her face.

We are so grateful as a family to have a new life in our lives.

We truly do think each new baby is a miracle from God.

Every time a new baby is born the line, “Trailing clouds of glory,” always comes to my mind.

“Trailing clouds of glory” is a line fromWilliam Wordsworths famous poem “Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood”:

Not in entire forgetfulness
And not in utter nakedness
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home

Here is the entire poem:

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life’s Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness,
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home:
Heaven lies about us in our infancy!
Shades of the prison-house begin to close
Upon the growing Boy,
But he beholds the light, and whence it flows,
He sees it in his joy;
The Youth, who daily farther from the east
Must travel, still is Nature’s priest,
And by the vision splendid
Is on his way attended;
At length the Man perceives it die away,
And fade into the light of common day.

Earth fills her lap with pleasures of her own;
Yearnings she hath in her own natural kind,
And, even with something of a mother’s mind,
And no unworthy aim,
The homely nurse doth all she can
To make her foster-child, her Inmate Man,
Forget the glories he hath known,

And that imperial palace whence he came.

I am so grateful for our new awesome pair, Maya Rose and Jade Kelly!
