Oh, What Do You Do in the Summertime?

One of my favorite primary songs is, “Oh, What Do You Do in the Summertime.

1. Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you fish in a stream, or lazily dream on the banks as the clouds go by?
Is that what you do? So do I!

2. Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you swim in a pool, to keep yourself cool, or swing in a tree up high?
Is that what you do? So do I!

3. Oh, what do you do in the summertime, when all the world is green?
Do you march in parades, or drink lemonades, or count all the stars in the sky?
Is that what you do? So do I!

One of my favorite things to do in the summertime is to enjoy the beautiful world we live in and all its wonder, splendor, beauty, inspiration and much more……

I really do not enjoy the hot weather.  My body doesn’t function well in the blistering heat that we must endure here in Utah.

We are one of the driest states in the entire country.  We live in a desert and rain is usually non-existent in this area.

This year we had rain for 5 days which is unheard of here in the summertime.  We actually set an all time rainfall record.  However, it didn’t last and we are back to the sweltering heat.

We have also set a record for the most consecutive triple digits temperature days in our state’s history.

(Insert a sad face for the “heat wimp” that I am.  LOL!)

However, with that being said I try to make lemonade from lemons as the often over used phrase declares.

I concentrate on photography and enjoying my beautiful surroundings.

What do I do in the summertime?  I will answer my own question, I take pictures.

Happy Summer to All…….

Enjoy the journey!
