Then There’s You

Marie Osmond has collaborated with Alex  Boye’ to make a music video featuring a new song called, Then There’s You.  This song is one of the songs on Marie’s new album which was released on April 15, 2016.  The title of the album is Music is Medicine.

Some critics are saying that the words and video don’t connect with each other.  I am including a comment that was given on the LDS Daily website that might explain the meaning of the song.

“……In an interview Marie said it was meant to be something different for everyone and for her the person she is leading is her deceased son who committed suicide. She said she hopes the song brings peace healing to a lot of people fir their I own reasons!…….”

Lyrics:

Alex:
Ummm
Oh le le (2x)
oh le le sho ke
Ah oh ehMarie:
I’ve known funny, and I’ve known tearsAlex:
And I’ve known magic in the skies at night on new yearMarie:
I’ve known conversation in one fires hue

Alex:
I’ve know I was worth their weight in gold

Both:
Oh but then there’s you

Alex:
Oh le le

Chorus:
How do you make once redefined
Take a life gone wrong and make it right
Bringing hope to a heart that’s lost its fire
‘Til you walked into my life

Like the heat in a late April breeze
Blowing the last bit of cold air out to sea
Just when I thought of life, we’re through

Oh, but then there’s you (2x)

Alex:
Ahh le leeMarie:
I’ve known beaches and prints in the sandAlex:
And the sun resting deep on the ocean blue. Ooooh yeah!Marie:
I’ve heard forever can really come true

Alex:
Oh when I pray for the love that I hope I’d find

Both:
Oh but then there’s you

Chorus:
How do you make once redefined
Take a life gone wrong and make it right
Bringing hope to a heart that’s lost it’s fire
‘Til you walked into my life.

Like the heat in a late April breeze
Blowing the last bit of cold air out to sea
Just when I thought of life, we’re through

Oh but then there’s you. (4x)

I think Marie’s and Alex’s voice blend together to make this beautiful song soar.

I hope you enjoy listening to the song.

  1. This is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. Why it wasn’t nominated for a country music award is a mystery!
