We had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving this year. We had a delicious turkey dinner. Then we went to the movie, “Coco.” The animated film was a touching story about the importance of family and remembering your ancestors. The graphics were vivid and innovative. The music was representative of the Latin culture and the songs were new and inspiring. We have so much to be thankful for. I love spending time with my family and enjoying their company. Happy Thanksgiving 2017.
Here are some of the quotes from the movie that I thought were captivating.
Ernesto de la Cruz: I have to sing, I have to play. The music, it’s not just in me, it is me. When life gets me down, I play my guitar. The rest of the world may follow the rules, but I must follow my heart. You know that feeling, like there’s a song in the air and it’s playing just for you. I hope you like it.
Miguel: We may have our differences, but nothing’s more important than family.
Miguel: I’m proud we’re family!“Being a part of this family means you are here for THIS family.” –Abuelita
“Our memories have to be passed down.” – Hector (Gael García Bernal)
“You don’t’ have to forgive him, but we shouldn’t forget him.” -Miguel
